Joe Brooks and Doug Walker of San Diego were legally married on August 31st,
the 28th Anniversary of their life partnership. They invited 80
guests for a "sit down" in their back yard and ended the celebration with
a wedding cake from the famous dessertier, Michele Coulon.

Thanks to Ralph and Nancy's daughter Nancy Mickelson for the photos. They celebrated their anniversary on August 4th with most of their 7 kids, 23 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

on the wall were possibly used for gold mining. Others seem to think they were shields from
the swallows that return en masse every March 19th!

Diane, Susan, Steve and Sharon met in London recently. Steve came from Versailles
with a bottle of champagne and then they lunched and chatted
(and drank a little more) throughout the day.

Dear Class of 1956,

Greetings from one of your very much younger (one year) friends.  Your class seems to be having more fun than ours.  I'm tempted to ask if I can be an honorary member but I'd better not,  Klutznick, Phillips and Felten would disown me.

Your class website is fantastic. We must find a techie like Elaine to build one for '57.

I hope to get to see everyone at the next reunion -- yours or ours. In the meantime, you might like to check out a little educational website I had made for my art collection and my new book, published by the University of Illinois Press. Click here: http://www.petulloartcollection.com
I wish you all good health and happiness.

and Jan Peterson met for lunch recently in Matteson, Illinois. They had not seen each other
in many years and they had a joyous time talking about old times.

Potter Ron exhibited at the Park Forest Art Fair, Sept. 15-16. After the Fair, he and
Jim and Elaine Brownlee spent hours recalling old times, old friends, and talking
about the gardener's bane -- weeds!  Note his devilish smile!
